Study Medicine Abroad and Open Up a World of Opportunities

Over the years, the number of Indian students pursuing medicine abroad has increased many folds. Today, thousands of medical aspirants apply for medical education in a foreign country every year, for it offers them plenty of benefits, from low tuition fees to higher quality of education to better living standards and many others.

That said, getting admission to a medical university abroad can be challenging, especially for Indian medical aspirants. First, students don’t have easy access to guidance to help them choose the right country and university. Second, there is hardly any information available on how to go about enrolling in an international university. Third, they fear being an international student in a foreign land. Plus, they are under the mistaken impression that the cost of studying MBBS abroad is not pocket-friendly.

This is where Paraakhya Education Foundation (PEF) comes into the picture, helping Indian medical aspirants study medicine abroad without going through any hassles.

Ranking among the top abroad/overseas consultancies in India, Paraakhya Education Foundation (PEF) guides and supports Indian students through reliable career counseling and by helping them choose the right medical course — MBBS, BDS, BAMS, MD MS, etc. — in the country of their choice. Not only that, but we also help you get admission to the university and manage your travel and accommodation in the country you choose.

Eligibility Requirement to Study MBBS abroad

Although each country usually has its own set of rules and eligibility criteria for Indian students looking to study MBBS abroad, we have pulled together a list of criteria that most countries have for Indian medical students. Let’s look at it:

  • The student must be 17 years old or turning 17 by December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit for applying for medical education abroad.
  • The student must have completed his 10+2 in the field of science (PCB or PCMB) from a recognized board.
  • The student, if belongs to the General Category, must have an aggregate percentage of at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They also must have English as a compulsory subject during their 10+2 years.
  • The student, if belongs to the Reserved Category, must have an aggregate of at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They also must have English as a compulsory subject during their 10+2 years.
  • The student may also need to submit a medical certificate at the time of admission, stating that they are not suffering from any contagious illness or diseases.
  • The student also needs to qualify for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). This is mandatory even if they are planning to pursue MBBS or another doctorate in India, as per the latest instruction by the Medical Council of India.
